Construction: good, Size: quite large, Stainproof: unknown
The cover has been on my new mattress less than a week so I am not able to comment on it's functionality ("stainproofness"). It is well made of acceptable material. I was a bit surprised the cover material is like a low-pile terry cloth but the roughness is not noticable once a sheet is on the bed. The cover is sized for a thicker mattress than the one I put it on (medium-fill softside water bed with memoery foam topper). The size is workable - just a lot of material to tuck under the mattress.
