This is an excellent item It is a stand designed for exactly what I have -- a 50" TV (Panasonic, Plasma).

Does not look cheap!
Goes great with shiny 55 in.flat screen TV. Not too bad putting it together. Bought it because it was not as deep as most and saved room. Price was right and fast delivery.
Second one that I purchased.
I purchased this stand for a second flat panel TV as I was very satisfied with the same model that I purchased several years ago. It was easy to assemble and is compatible with and harmonizes with my black television.
